Tennessee man arrested for allegedly opening fire on truck driver on I-840

A Tennessee man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident that left a truck driver injured on Wednesday.

The road rage incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on westbound I-840 near mile marker 29 in Williamson County, Tennessee.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says that 45 year old Vernon Brewer, Jr., 45, allegedly opened fire on a tractor trailer.

The truck driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released the same day.

Brewer was arrested and booked into the Williamson County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault.

The incident is still under investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
