This Arizona sheriff has a message for left lane campers

Published:

More than 2 million people have watched a new video from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office that attempts to set drivers straight about driving in the left lane.

On June 21, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb shared a Facebook video in an attempt to educate drivers about Arizona’s left lane law, which went into effect at the beginning of 2020.

Arizona law requires that drivers remain in the right lane on a two lane roadway unless they’re passing or if the right lane is closed for construction or an emergency.

In the video, Lamb pulls over a driver caught camping in the left lane. Lamb doesn’t ticket the driver, but he does provide him with a warning about the left lane law.

The video has been shared more than 30,000 times in just a few days as viewers thanked Lamb for his work to cut down on the annoying driving behavior.

Check out the video below.

The Sheriff’s Office shared a similar video in 2020 which was viewed more than 5 million times.
