Truck crash leaves Florida interstate littered with energy drinks

Published:

A single vehicle truck crash has traffic tied up in Seminole County, Florida, on Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday on I-4 at mile marker 97 in Lake Mary, Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 42 year old truck driver was eastbound on I-4 when his vehicle suddenly swerved left and struck a guardrail, causing the truck to overturn.

The truck driver was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash caused the truck’s load of energy drinks to spill onto I-4 and in the median of the interstate.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) said that the left lane of the interstate was shut down in both directions for cleanup of the crash, resulting in traffic backups.
