Truck driver fatally shot by fellow trucker in West Virginia, police say

A truck driver was killed after being shot by another semi truck driver during the morning rush hour in West Virginia on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred around 9:15 a.m. on I-81 at mile marker 23 in Berkeley County, West Virginia.

According Berkeley County Sheriff Nathan Harmon, two truck drivers were traveling north on I-81 when they became involved in some sort of altercation. Both truckers pulled over and one fatally shot the other.

The truck driver who shot the other then got back in the truck and continued driving north on I-81. He was eventually taken into custody near Carlisle, Pennsylvania by Pennsylvania State Police.

The identities of the truck drivers involved have not yet been released.
