Truck stop giant to add another 3000 truck parking spaces in 2021

On Tuesday, Love’s Travel Stops announced plans for major expansion in the new year.

On January 26, Love’s said that the company had plans to open as many as 50 new truck stops across the country in 2021, which would add approximately 3000 new truck parking spaces to the Love’s network.

Love’s did not detail locations for the new stores in the Tuesday announcement.

Love’s says that the company also has plans in the works to open more than 30 Love’s Truck Care and Speedco locations in 2021.

The announcement comes after a year when Love’s opened 38 new truck stop locations despite the challenges brought by the pandemic. Love’s says that they added more than 3000 truck parking spaces in 2020.

“2020 was difficult, but our teams worked together to open new locations, add parking spaces and serve customers despite the pandemic,” said Shane Wharton, president of Love’s. “In 2021, we’ll grow our travel stop network where our customers have asked us to, add new products and services and open new truck care centers to get professional truck drivers back on the road quickly and safely.”

Love’s is headquartered in Oklahoma City and currently operates more than 540 stores in 41 states.
