Trucker facing multiple gun charges after armed road rage confrontation

A truck driver is facing multiple charges after a road rage incident between two truckers in Connecticut on Wednesday. 

The incident happened on May 5th at around 3:30 p.m. in Waterbury. 

According to.. Two drivers got into an altercation on Interstate 84 near Exit 23 and one of them pulled out a handgun, prompting witnesses to contact police. 

When police arrived, the gun-wielding trucker, Thomas M. Colburn, was taken into custody and charged with  weapons in a vehicle, possession of a firearm without a permit, possession of large-capacity magazines, threatening in the second degree, and breach of peace.

No one was injured in the incident. 

Colburn has since been released on  $5,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on June 25 at 9a.m.
