Published:

A truck driver was killed in an unusual accident in Minnesota on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on June 2nd in Minneapolis in the parking lot of TEAM Industries.

According to CBS Minnesota, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene to investigate a man lying next to an EMR northern Metal Recycling semi truck.

When officers arrived, the man, 43-year-old Joseph Marlyn Boyle, was confirmed dead. Police also noted that the truck’s hydraulic bed extension was making contact with a live power line.

Police believe that the live power line sent a current of electricity through the rig, which electrocuted Boyle, but the incident is still under investigation.
