Trucker found naked at scene of suspected DUI crash

Published:

A truck driver is facing DUI charges after he was found naked at the scene of a crash in Pennsylvania late last week.

The accident happened on Friday, November 5th in Rostraver, Pennsylvania just before 9 p.m.

According to TribLive, a motorist was driving along Interstate 70 when he noticed a set of tracks veering off the highway and down an embankment. The man stopped his vehicle and went over to follow the tracks and check on the driver, and that’s when he saw 26-year-old Orelbis D. Cruz-Iglesias standing outside of his rig “completely naked.”

The bystander then contacted police, who arranged for Cruz-Iglesias to be transported to a nearby hospital. At the hospital, Cruz-Iglesias gave police a false name and age, and told police he had not consumed any alcohol or drugs. However, he failed the field sobriety test conducted at the hospital. Cruz-Iglesias then consented to a blood draw. Police later obtained the correct identification and age from Cruz-Iglesias’ trucking company.

During a search of Cruz-Iglesias’ cab, police discovered a 9mm handgun, which Cruz-Iglesias did not have a permit for.

Cruz-Iglesias was arrested at the hospital and jailed on $10,000 bond. He is now facing charges of driving under the influence, providing false identification, illegal possession of a firearm and multiple traffic violations.
