Thanks to a truck driver’s quick thinking and kind heart, a Virginia animal shelter received a generous truckload of dog food.
On February 9, John, a truck driver from South Carolina was making a large delivery of dog food to a client. When he arrived to unload, they no longer needed the full order and advised John to throw out the extra bags.
John knew there was a better solution, and after a quick google search, found a nearby animal shelter that could use a donation. After calling Norfolk SPCA, John showed up to the shelter with over 50 bags of food.
“I’m an animal lover,” John said to Norfolk SPCA. “I knew there are animals around here that needed it.”
The animal shelter showed their appreciation in a Facebook post, “We’re so thankful for John’s quick thinking and generosity! We’ll be sharing the love with some of our local shelter partners, and also with the community through our Emergency Pet Pantry. We wish John safe travels back to South Carolina!”
