Trucker on foot struck by passing vehicle after crashing on Pennsylvania interstate

Authorities in Pennsylvania say that a truck driver was injured after being struck by another vehicle early this morning.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania.

Firefighters say that the truck driver had previously crashed into the median on southbound I-81 at mile marker 14 and was outside of the vehicle walking around when they were was struck by a passing vehicle.

The truck driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Two other vehicles were damaged by debris from the semi truck, firefighters said.

A portion of I-81 was closed for hours for cleanup and investigation of the crashes.
