Trucker refuses to pull over, leads police on extensive chase

A truck driver led police on an extensive chase in Wisconsin over the weekend.

The incident happened on Saturday night, May 22nd in Altoona.

According to WEAU News, police initially attempted to pull the truck over during a routine traffic stop in Dunn County, but the driver would not pull over.

The driver then led police on a chase through Dunn County and into Altoona, and even continued on once their tires were flattened.

The pursuit eventually ended along the backroads of Altoona in a residential neighborhood.

“It sounded like it was coming down our street so by the time I looked out my window there was the semi and seven cop cars following behind it,” said Angela Sorenson, who lives two blocks from where the pursuit ended. “I was nervous because I wanted to know what was going on with seven cop cars in the neighborhood.”

The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
