Trucker survives after steel coil crashes into cab

Published:

A truck driver is lucky to be alive after a steel coil that he was hauling broke loose and crashed through the back of his cab.

The incident happened in Slippery Rock Township, Pennsylvania, according to an April 7 report from local news outlet KDKA.

The truck driver was hauling steel coils on Route 422 when a car turned left, reportedly triggering his vehicle’s braking assist feature.

As the truck braked, one of the steel coils came loose and slammed into the back of the cab on the passenger side.

Remarkably, no one was hurt.
