A truck driver was hospitalized on Monday after he was shot while traveling on an Alabama interstate.
The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. on October 4 in Irondale, Alabama.
Police say that the California-based semi truck driver was northbound on I-459 between the Liberty Parkway exit and the Grants Mill Road exit when he was shot in the leg during a suspected road rage incident.
Despite his injuries, police say that the 34 year old truck driver was able to safely drive to a gas station, where he called police for help.
The truck driver was transported to the hospital for treatment by the Irondale Fire Department and is expected to survive.
There is currently no description available for the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
