Trucker unscathed after motorist’s road rage shooting

A truck driver walked away unhurt from a road rage shooting in Illinois over the weekend. 

The incident occurred on August 14th at around 11:30 p.m. in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. 

According to FDL Reporter, the truck driver was traveling along Highway 23 when a four-wheeler shot at him. The trucker then called police, who responded to the scene and discovered three bullet holes in the trailer and shell casings on the ground. 

Officers then tracked down the motorist and placed him under arrest. When questioned, the suspect told police that there had been a road rage incident between him and the trucker, during which he pulled out a pistol. 

“The suspect admitted to a road rage incident between him and the semi driver that resulted in the suspect discharging a pistol from his moving vehicle towards the semi trailer which was also moving,” reads a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is being held at Fond du Lac County Jail on suspicion of recklessly endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon.
