Trucker wife searching for her two dogs lost in wreck that killed her husband

Published:

A recently widowed trucker wife is asking for help in locating her two dogs that were lost in the semi wreck that took her husband’s life.

The accident happened on May 30th near Friendship, Arkansas.

According to KARK News, Beverly Shelton and her late husband were traveling westbound down Interstate 30 in their big rig when a tire blew, causing them to lose control. The accident left Beverly injured, caused her husband to lose his life, and spooked their two toy poodles, Maggie and Lilly, into running away.

Now, Beverly is back home in Terra Haute, Indiana awaiting surgery, but is hoping she can be reunited with her beloved dogs.

Immediately after the accident, a police officer saw two small dogs running alongside the interstate, but did not realize they were from the wreck he was responding to. Since then, there has been no sign of the small dogs, but a post asking for help has been shared on Facebook offering a reward for the dogs’ safe return.

Anyone with information regarding the two dogs is urged to contact Beverly at 812-230-8609.
