Trucking company dumped 500+ gallons of spoiled milk down a storm drain, citizens allege

Published:

A Virginia trucking company has been accused of illegally dumping more than 500 gallons of curdled milk down a storm drain.

The incident happened on Wednesday, July 21st in Pulaski, Virginia at a storm drain located at the former Pulaski Furniture Company site.

The drain in which the spoiled milk was dumped does feed into Peak Creek, and could have a negative impact on the environment, reported ABC 13 News.

Town Spokesman, Jordan Whitt, says that KTI LTD trucking is the company allegedly responsible for the illegal dumping of such a large volume of milk. However, Whitt says that the spread of the curdled milk has been contained to Sproules Run and that multiple agencies are working to remove as much contaminant from the water as possible.
