Authorities in Arizona have confirmed that two people were killed in a major crash near Casa Grande, Arizona, on Wednesday.
Yesterday’s crash occurred on westbound I-10 near mile marker 188, north of Casa Grande.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), a semi truck traveling in the eastbound lanes crossed over the dirt median into westbound traffic, where it struck two other commercial vehicles and multiple passenger vehicles.

The truck that crossed over into westbound traffic caught fire after the crash.
Police have confirmed that two people were killed. Several others were taken to the hospital for treatment of various injuries.
Authorities have not released the identities of the people who passed away in the crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The crash closed lanes on I-10 for hours, resulting in heavy traffic backups. All lanes have since reopened.
