One person is dead after a fatal shooting left a motorist incapacitated, sending their vehicle into a moving semi truck.
The incident occurred on Sunday, January 24th at around 6:30 p.m. in Sacramento, California.
Fox 40 reports that Officers received a call reporting the sound of gunshots near Power Inn Road and Gerber Road.
According to officers, the motorist was fatally wounded by a gun shot, while traveling east on Gerber Road, causing them to crash into the big rig.
The motorist was pronounced dead on scene, but their female passenger was uninjured.
The truck driver was not injured in the incident.
Officers are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, and say it is not yet clear whether it was targeted or random.
