VIDEO: Driver learns first-hand why Wyoming is still under a wind warning

Published:

A tractor trailer was caught on video succumbing to the intense winds in Wyoming this week.

The video was shot on Monday, February 22nd on Highway 85 near Casper, just as the warning went into effect.

In the clip, the semi truck can be seen driving along, wiggling slightly in the wind, until it suddenly gets lifted off the ground by a gust, sending it crashing onto its passenger side before coming to a rest along the grassy shoulder. In fact, the semi truck lands just behind another semi truck apparently also overturned in the windy conditions.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident, but parts of Wyoming recorded gusts as strong as 88 mph. All highways are currently open, but a High Wind Warning will remain in effect until 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.
