A truck driver was arrested late last week after police responded to a call reporting erratic driving and discovered the trucker was at three times the legal blood alcohol limit.
The officer was called to Interstate 40 near Moriarty, New Mexico.
According to KRQE News, police received two calls reporting a semi truck swerving into a center median on the highway. When an officer located the rig in question, he noticed that the driver could not seem to stay in his lane.
“This guy is swerving. This guy is all over the place,” the officer says in the video.
The officer then pulls the truck over and conducts a field sobriety test with 34-year-old trucker Yaroslov Pavlyshe, where he struggles to walk in a straight line and balance on one foot.
After denying that he had been drinking, Pavlyshe was arrested and taken to a nearby police station, where he blew a .26 – more than three times the legal limit.
Pavlyshe has since been charged with aggravated DWI and failure to maintain a traffic lane.
