A recent video report from 60 Minutes delves into the factors behind the recent American supply chain struggles.

The report looks at the massive backups at the Long Beach and Los Angeles ports and Chicago rail yards, finding “finger-pointing, huge profits, and massive losses” along the way.

The report suggests that backups at the ports aren’t caused by a shortage of available truck drivers but rather by an antiquated appointment system that leaves drivers waiting at the facility for hours.
