VIDEO: Semi trailer trashed by train in Ohio

Published:

A motorist shared tense video of a train vs. truck collision that occurred in Ohio on Monday.

The train strike occurred around 7 p.m. on August 16 at the CSX crossing on Sycamore Street in Columbus Grove, Ohio.

In video captured at the scene, a crossing arm is lowered after the truck was already on the tracks, becoming lodged between the truck and trailer. A white passenger vehicle is also positioned in front of the truck. The motorist does not back up until the train is moments away from colliding with the trailer.

The train collided with the truck’s trailer and dragged it hundreds of feet before stopping.

According to local reports, the truck was unable to maneuver around the crossbucks and became stuck at the railroad crossing.

The truck driver wasn’t injured.
