Watch as this train barrels helplessly towards a stuck semi truck

Published:

No one was hurt in a train accident that obliterated a semi truck in Florida Monday night.

The accident happened on June 14th near Belleview, Florida.

According to Ocala StarBanner News, truck driver Eddie Rosa was on his was to the Walmart at 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd when he missed his turn. His GPS redirected him and he ended up trying to cross the railroad tracks, and that’s where the trouble really began.

Rosa’s rig got stuck while trying to cross the tracks, so he called his company but quickly noticed a train coming, so he exited his rig. Rosa then grabbed a flashlight and ran towards the train, waving the flashlight in hopes of getting the conductor’s attention. Rosa says the train blew its horn and appears to have tried to stop, but it was already too late, and the locomotive smashed through the trailer, spilling dairy products everywhere.

“I ran as fast as I can down the tracks with the flashlight,” Rosa said. “It (the train) tried to stop, but it was too late.”

Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident, but the wreck did leave quite a mess. Officers say that local residents arrived on scene to check out what was going on and even tried to collect the spilled dairy products, but police sent them away.

Rosa was ticketed for failing to obey a traffic control device.
