A truck driver took to Reddit recently to share his horror over truck stop parking lot conditions.
“I had to stop and take a video of this,” he begins.
“On-ramp of I-10 in AZ (westbound). Came out of Pilot after fueling and as I was getting ready to speed up I saw this. Shame shame shame…”
In the clip, the driver shows an inarguably excessive amount of plastic bottles, filled with what we can only assume to be urine, strewn alongside the parking lot. The driver showcases a couple hundred yards of grass littered with the used bottles, plastic bags full of trash, and various other food, beverage, and life refuse.
“This is how we are presenting ourselves to the rest of the world,” he concludes.
“This kind of littering makes the public think all truckers are lazy slobs,” commented one viewer.
One viewer even offered a way to keep both the parking lot, grass, and even pets’ feet clean.
“I’ve called companies when I see someone dumping bottles, trash, or pouring out bottles on a parking lot or where anyone will walk. Get a tote bag, put the bottles in a plastic bag inside the tote bag and dump them in the next toilet you get to. Pouring them out on the grass makes everything smell like piss and gets brought into my truck on my shoes and my dogs’ feet.”
