The Salt Lake City Fire Department performed what has been described as a water rescue over the weekend after a semi truck ended up in a canal.
The accident happened on Saturday, March 6th in Salt Lake City, Utah.
According to KSL News, the semi truck swerved off the road and into the Jordan River Surplus Canal, leaving the driver stranded in the water.
Water Rescue at 850 South Delong Street. A Semi Tractor Trailer left the roadway and ended up in the Jordan River Surplus Canal. The driver was safely removed by Water Rescue. The Health Department is notified due to the vehicle fluids in the water. #slcfire #waterrescue pic.twitter.com/yNcVZsq71p

Luckily, the driver was uninjured and fire fighters were able to get them to safety.
The Utah Department of Health was then called to the scene to evaluate the fluid spilled from the big rig in the incident.
