Officers with the Georgia Department of Public Safety discovered dozens of violations during a weigh station enforcement operation on Thursday.
Thursday’s “safety check” took place at the I-20 westbound at the Carroll County Weigh Station.
During this enforcement effort, officers inspected 26 commercial vehicles, which resulted in 43 driver violations and two vehicle violations.
Two drivers and one vehicle were placed out of service for various violations.
Additionally, one CMV driver was arrested for driving under the influence of narcotics, authorities said.
