A portion of Interstate 70 was shut down in Kansas early on Wednesday morning after a wrong way motorist caused a wreck involving a full bus and a semi truck.
The accident happened on July 14th at around 1:30 a.m. in Topeka, Kansas.
According to KSNT News, police initially were responding to a call reporting a car driving the wrong way on I-70 westbound near 1st Street and MacVicar avenue. That car then crashed into the Greyhound bus, which then sideswiped a semi truck.
One person inside of the car was transported to a hospital. Their condition is not known. No other injuries have been reported.
Westbound I-70 was shut down from 1st Street to MacVicar Avenue for almost five hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the incident.
I-70 was reopened at around 6 a.m.
