The company says that they created the first of their three wrapped trucks to honor a 10 year company driver who served in the military prior to pivoting to a career in trucking. After the overwhelmingly positive response they received, Z Transportation went on to put two more veteran themed wrapped trucks on the road as a sign of the company’s continuing support for those who dedicate their lives to serving our country.
Company Demonstrates Steady Growth By Prioritizing Drivers
The rest of the Z Transportation fleet has grown over the years too, as company leaders have prioritized steady growth without overreaching in response to volatile conditions within the industry. During the pandemic, the company not only survived but thrived even as large swaths of the economy shut down due to a measured response that put drivers first. The company upped driver pay even as miles temporarily slowed and rode out the early weeks and months of the COVID-19 crisis. As the economy recovered, Z Transportation says that they were well positioned to pick back up where they left off.
As of the summer of 2021, the company’s fleet has grown to about 120 trucks with 20 to 30 new Peterbilts to be added in the coming months.
