1200 packages of meth discovered in US-bound tractor trailer

More than $4 million worth of alleged methamphetamine was seized from a US-bound tractor trailer late last week. 

The contraband was discovered on Friday, June 17th at the Pharr International Bridge in Pharr, Texas. 

According to Local 23 News, the tractor trailer was attempting to enter the US from Mexico when it was referred to secondary inspection and a screening by a K-9 team. 

During the physical inspection, officers discovered a total of 1200 packages weighing in at 310 pounds. The drugs and truck were seized. The case is still under investigation by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations.
