280 migrants rescued from abandoned, locked tractor trailer

280 US-bound migrants were rescued from the back of a semi truck abandoned on the side of the road in Mexico  on Tuesday. 

The migrants were found on May 3rd in Veracruz, Mexico near a gas station along the Córdoba-Orizaba highway.

According to Daily Mail, police responded to a 911 call regarding the truck and unlocked the trailer door to discover multiple migrants crammed inside. The migrants hailed from Ecuador, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Cuba. 18 of them were minors, and at least three people were transported to a nearby hospital for dehydration. 

No further information about the situation has been released.
