A Michigan based trucking company is planning a $31 million expansion designed to primarily serve their food service clients.

Art Mulder and Sons Trucking, based in Holland, Michigan is building a 147,000 square foot building that will include freezer and cold storage space, refrigerated cooler dock space, office space, and training and conference rooms. The building will be located at the same location as the company’s headquarters at 1936 Transport Lane.

“The Cold-Link Logistics, Holland team is excited to provide logistics solutions to our existing partners and eager to meet future needs in a growing market,” Chad Mulder, president of Art Mulder and Sons Trucking, said in a statement.

“We embrace the opportunity to attract new team members who want to be a part of an organization that stands on family values. These values drive our commitment and dedication to customer care which spans from vendors and partners in the supply chain down to every driver coming through our doors.”

The endeavor is expected to create as many as 55 jobs and is expected to be completed by mid-March, reported M Live.

“Art Mulder and Sons Trucking is a shining example of a local business expanding their footprint and their workforce to meet the needs of a new economy,” Nathan Bocks, Holland’s mayor, said in a statement. “The city is a proud partner with employers like Art Mulder and Sons Trucking using economic incentives that encourage investment in Holland, create good jobs and a bright future for our residents.”
