Arizona CMV task force conducting three day blitz at rest areas and ports of entry

An Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) commercial vehicle safety enforcement effort is currently underway in northern Arizona.

From Monday, November 7, through Wednesday, November 9, officers with the AZDPS Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Task Force (CVETF) are conducting a targeted enforcement operation at rest areas and ports of entry along I-17 and I-40.

During the three day effort, officers will be conducting inspections to ensure compliance with state and federal safety regulations.

As part of the enforcement effort, officers will also be educating CMV drivers and motorists about safe driving in and around commercial vehicles.

The CVETF is comprised of AZDPS Commercial Vehicle Enforcement troopers and Arizona Department of Transportation Enforcement and Compliance Division officers.
