Authorities in Everett, Washington, are investigating after a person was found dead inside of a burned truck on Tuesday.
According to the Everett Police Department (EPD), a semi truck fire was reported by witnesses on Tuesday evening in a fenced parking lot in the 1200 block of 108th Street SW.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to extinguish the truck fire.
After the fire was put out, officers discovered a body inside the burned truck. It isn’t yet clear how the person died.
Arson investigators were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
The identity of the deceased person remains under investigation.
