Denver police are investigating after a box full of human body parts intended for medical research were stolen from a parked truck last week.

The Denver Police Department says that someone broke into a box truck parked in the Central Park neighborhood on the morning of Thursday, March 3.

In addition to stealing a dolly, the suspect also took a blue and white box marked “Exempt Human Specimen” containing human heads that were being transported for medical research purposes.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Police are asking anyone with information on the theft to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers (720) 913-STOP (7867).

Prior to the theft of the medical specimens, the Denver Police Department issued an alert regarding an uptick in auto thefts and thefts from motor vehicles.
