A dump truck left its bed behind after striking a bridge in Ontario, Canada on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened on October 19th in Mississauga at around 7 a.m.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt reported that the truck had just dropped off a load at a nearby construction site when the driver headed out with the box raised, striking an eastbound overpass on Highway 401.
“[The] box should be down when you’re driving,” Schmidt said in a video he took of the incident.
The trucker was not hurt in the incident, but the lanes were shut down for cleanup for several hours.
A three-car crash occurred in the lanes next to the stuck box, prompting Schmidt to add “people not paying attention,’ he said. “If you’re going down the road, you’ve gotta look forward and be aware of changing traffic.”
