Officials are still searching for a number of immigrants seen pouring out of the back of a semi truck in San Antonio early on Friday morning.
The incident occurred just before 4 a.m. on February 11th along SW Loop 410 and Highway 151 in San Antonio, Texas.
According to News4SA, police arrived on the scene to find people fleeing the back of the semi truck. Investigators were able to find and detain 25 of the immigrants, some of which were hiding in bushes, but officers say many are still at large. Several officers suffered cuts and falls during the chase, but no other injuries have been reported.
Two people who were at the scene to pick up some of the immigrants were also arrested. At least two vehicles were towed away.
K9 units and helicopters were brought in to help search for the remaining immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security has since taken over the investigation.
