CHP put the brakes on this oversized load for a slew of violations

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) issued an out of service order after catching an oversized load with improper load securement and a host of other safety issues.

On December 4, CHP – Southern Division SSC shared a Facebook post detailing a truck traffic stop that took place in Lancaster.

From CHP:

Today in Lancaster an MRE Officer came across this truck hauling a oversize load. The truck was missing the required signs and flags and did not have a permit to exceed the legal width of 102 inches. Upon further inspection, the load was improperly secured as it had insufficient tie downs, loose tie downs, and improper tie downs. The vehicle was placed out of service until the proper permits could be obtained and the load properly and safely secured.

CHP also shared several photos of the out of service vehicle.
