CHP shares video of semi’s ‘Tokyo Drift’ tow job

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) shared video of a semi truck tow job that might inspire a double take.

The video was shared on November 7 by CHP’s Gold Run Division amid a major snowstorm that left several vehicles stuck.

“This rig is being towed after breaking an axle,” CHP said.

The video inspired several social media users to chime in.

“Thanks for telling us it was being towed… Otherwise most of us would have guessed that this was an awesome display of drifting, I-80 CDL style,” one person wrote.

“Tokyo drift in slow motion!” said another.

“That looks more like dragging than a tow. Good thing it’s icy,” another user pointed out.
