Missouri transportation officials are asking drivers to seek alternate routes following a multi-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred on I-49 north at 163rd St in Cass County, near Belton, Missouri.
Fox4KC reports that as many as four tractor trailers were involved in a collision.
It isn’t clear whether anyone was injured.
The left lane of northbound I-49 is closed, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. The interstate isn’t expected to fully reopen for 3 to 4 hours.
Two mile long traffic backups have been reported.
