Dash cammer says video shows multi-vehicle semi truck crash that left several hurt on I-35 in Austin

Published:

A motorist shared dash cam video reportedly captured during a Wednesday morning crash involving a big rig and several other vehicles.

The crash took place on southbound I-35 in north Austin, Texas, on Wednesday morning, according to KXAN.

In video shared by reddit user u/AlteredViews, you can see that the dash cammer appears to try to move out of the way seconds before a semi truck crashes into slowed traffic.

“I was going to change lanes anyways and when I heard him hit the car behind me, I let off the brake and rolled into the other lane just enough that when he hit the back corner of my car, I just rolled across the freeway,” u/AlteredViews explained.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported that twelve people were hurt in the crash, with four of those people requiring transport to a hospital.
