A truck driver was killed in a crossover crash on an Indiana interstate on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred around 4 a.m. on September 20 on I-70 at mile marker 116 near Greenfield, Indiana.
Authorities say that a westbound truck crossed the median and struck an eastbound semi truck head-on.
The driver in the westbound truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver in the eastbound truck was hospitalized with injuries from the crash.
Eastbound I-70 was closed for much of the morning but reopened around noon.
The crash is under investigation.
Interstate 70 is currently closed eastbound at the 116.0 mile marker due to a very serious crash. Interstate traffic is being re-routed at the 104 (Greenfield exit). Expect delays and seek alternate route of travel. pic.twitter.com/XZ8pj0IGR4
