Driver who smashed bobtail through boyfriend’s mobile home also attacked his ex-girlfriend, police say

The truck driver responsible for smashing her bobtail rig through her boyfriend’s mobile home in Alabama earlier this week also went after his ex-girlfriend, police say.

56-year-old Rhonda D Young was arrested on May 30th in Piedmont after crashing her bobtail truck through the front of her boyfriend’s mobile home. She is currently in the Calhoun County Jail on $53,000 bond and has a preliminary hearing date set for June 27th.

According to WEIS News, Young got into a fight with March Garrett at his home and left the scene in her International truck. She soon returned to the mobile home, where Garrett was standing on the porch, and smashed her truck through the front door. Garrett suffered injuries to his leg and ankle in the incident.

Garrett’s step-daughter and step-granddaughter were inside of the mobile home at the time of the crash. The step-daughter called her mother, apparently Garrett’s ex-wife or girlfriend, who lived a short distance away, to tell her about the incident. The ex-wife soon arrived at the scene to check on her daughter, and that’s when Young “came at her.”

Young allegedly grabbed the ex-wife by the throat and the two fought, leaving Young with the black eye seen in her mugshot. She is currently facing charges of attempted murder, and two counts of attempted assault.
