It’s almost impossible to believe that we have just gone beyond the halfway point of 2022. To me, and I’m certain for many of you running trucking businesses during these days, it seems like we went from January to July in just the blink of an eye.
As our ES Advantage Team looks back at this year’s first six months, we recognize the challenges that owner-operators, independent contractors and fleet owners have faced with costs rising in numerous areas. Throughout the first part of this year, we have shared details with CDLLife readers and our podcast listeners here about our fuel, maintenance and tire discount programs. The economic trends during the first six months of 2022 have created numerous challenges within trucking, especially for the owner-operators and fleet owners who have fleets ranging from one to 20 trucks. First of all, your costs are typically higher than operations with larger fleets. Of course, we’ve all seen the high price of fuel, and our industry continues to see increases in insurance cost. This is obviously an environment that can create a very heavy burden on the owner’s shoulders.
To be clear, we work with owner-operators and fleet owners from the truck up to be successful where it counts the most. The bottom line here is that, if you are an independent business owner in the trucking industry, the ES Advantage can help you and your operation.
