It’s almost impossible to believe that we have just gone beyond the halfway point of 2022. To me, and I’m certain for many of you running trucking businesses during these days, it seems like we went from January to July in just the blink of an eye.

As our ES Advantage Team looks back at this year’s first six months, we recognize the challenges that owner-operators, independent contractors and fleet owners have faced with costs rising in numerous areas. Throughout the first part of this year, we have shared details with CDLLife readers and our podcast listeners here about our fuel, maintenance and tire discount programs. We’ve also talked about how the ES Advantage can help with insurance coverage plans as well as other services that can assist trucking business owners to drive savings to their respective bottom lines.

The economic trends during the first six months of 2022 have created numerous challenges within trucking, especially for the owner-operators and fleet owners who have fleets ranging from one to 20 trucks. First of all, your costs are typically higher than operations with larger fleets. Of course, we’ve all seen the high price of fuel, and our industry continues to see increases in insurance cost. This is obviously an environment that can create a very heavy burden on the owner’s shoulders.

To be clear, we work with owner-operators and fleet owners from the truck up to be successful where it counts the most. The bottom line here is that, if you are an independent business owner in the trucking industry, the ES Advantage can help you and your operation.

One of our major efforts during 2022 has been reaching out to our customers and providing the information they need to fully leverage our ES Advantage offerings and the wide range of savings that our vendor network can provide for their respective trucking business operations. We understand and we appreciate that owner-operators, in particular, enjoy that freedom of owning their own business, being able to run when they want to run, taking the loads they want to haul and controlling their own destiny.

Listen To The ES Advantage Podcast

In this month’s podcast, you’ll hear me talk more in depth on the cost challenges facing owner-operators and fleet owners. You’ll also hear us discuss some of the enhancements we have made to our ES Advantage mobile app. We will specifically be talking about how our mobile app can not only direct you to the best discount in that area, but how our recent mobile app enhancements provide several search options, including searching by city, or state or by a specific fuel chain.

Another highlight in this month’s podcast is that our listeners will learn about the outreach by the ES Advantage to our Spanish-speaking customers. Podcast listeners will be introduced to Andrea Flores, who will be discussing her work as one of the newest members of our ES Advantage Team.
