FBI, Michigan police searching for missing owner of small trucking company

Published:

Michigan State Police and the FBI are looking into the disappearance of a small trucking company owner in Michigan, officials say.

52-year-old Dee Warner was last seen on April 24th or 25th, 2021 at her home on Mugner Road in Tipton, Michigan. Warner ran her own trucking company out of the barns in her backyard.

Shortly after she was last seen, her cell phone went dead, and there has been no activity on her bank accounts, authorities say. Since her disappearance, Michigan State Police and the FBI have conducted digs and used ground-penetrating radar to search for Warner’s body, reported Click on Detroit.

“There’s no big tip that facilitated this,” Bevier said during the October search. “Really, what this is, is kind of a culmination of all the work that we’ve been doing over the summer. We’ve been pretty much following up on every lead and all the information, and this just seemed like a prudent time to come out and do another search — a really good, thorough search of the property.”

“We’re a small community,” Bevier said. “A lot of people knew Dee, and so this really hits close to home. There’s a lot of people that this is impacting.”
Anyone with information about Warner’s disappearance is now asked to call the Michigan State Police tip line at 855-MICHTIP (855-642-4847)or go to www.michigan.gov/MICHTIP.
