A load of spilled tomatoes sparked a series of crashes in California on Monday morning.
The incident happened on August 29th in Vacaville, California on Interstate 80 near Davis Street.
According to Fox 40 News, the truck hauling tomatoes ended up over the concrete barrier wall, and left a trail of tomatoes behind. As a result of the spilled tomatoes, five more vehicles crashed.
Details behind the initial cause of the crash have not been released. Injuries were reported, but the extent of them is not known. The incident closed three eastbound lanes and one westbound lane, creating a significant backup.
