Flaming big rig sparks neighborhood brush fire

A flaming semi truck sparked a brush fire in California on Monday in the Diamond Bar area.

The incident began at around 11:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway near the 71 Freeway on May 23rd.

According to Fox 11 News, the semi truck caught fire and was able to pull over onto the shoulder, but the flames somehow spread to the ridge above the highway between the road and a neighborhood, putting several homes in jeopardy.

Two lanes of the 60 Freeway were shut down as crews worked to put out the semi truck fire and subsequent brush fire. No injuries have been reported, and no home have sustained damage
