FMCSA declares today as ‘CMV Driver Appreciation Day’

Published:

As part of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is celebrating “CMV Driver Appreciation Day.”

The FMCSA said:

CMV Drivers are vital to keeping our nation moving. On Thursday, September 15, 2022, FMCSA is taking time to publicly recognize and celebrate all the CMV drivers who dedicate themselves daily to delivering our goods and transporting our loved ones while keeping our roads safe.

CMV Driver Appreciation Day is an extension of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (September 11-17, 2022), a time devoted to showing gratitude for America’s truck drivers. We recognize the shared dedication of all professional drivers within the industry, and it’s important we come together as a community to express our appreciation.

In honor of CMV Driver Appreciation Day the FMCSA hosted an event at U.S. Department of Transportation headquarters featuring Deputy Secretary of Transportation Polly Trottenberg, FMCSA Deputy Administrator Robin Hutcheson, and CMV drivers.
