Four dead after SUV crashes head-on with semi near Texas/New Mexico border

Officials in Texas say that a woman and three children lost their lives in a two vehicle crash on Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. on February 7 in Oldham County, Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) says that a semi truck was eastbound on I-40 when it was struck by a westbound 2001 GMC Yukon.

The two vehicles crashed head-on.

The driver of the Yukon, 25 year old Oklahoma resident Sabrina Watson, died at the scene. A three year old, a seven year old, and an eight year old traveling inside the vehicle also passed away at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by law enforcement.
