Hundreds of truckers got a free lunch at Iowa weigh stations this week

On Wednesday, the Iowa Motor Truck Association (IMTA) and Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement partnered to show appreciation for truckers by giving away free boxed lunches at weigh stations.

Starting at 11 a.m. on November 2, truckers were treated to a free Jimmy John’s sandwich boxed lunch at the following weigh stations:

“As promised we fed a whole lot of hungry truck drivers today! In collaboration with the Iowa Motor Truck Association we handed out Jimmy Johns sandwiches at three different scale locations across the state. Wasn’t so bad having that scale sign open today, was it?” Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement said.
