The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) has confirmed at least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Mississippi County on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred near mile marker 10 on I-57, near Charleston, Missouri.
MSHP has confirmed multiple semi trucks were involved in the pileup. Some of the trucks involved have caught fire.
Both directions of I-57 are closed from the Illinois border to I-55 in Sikeston until further notice.
